Service Description
Root & Receive A Late Summer Yin Yoga Morning at Hidden Acres Sunday | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM August 9th As summer begins its gentle transition towards autumn, nature invites us to slow down, gather our energy and reconnect with what truly nourishes us. Join me for a nurturing two-hour Yin Yoga morning at Hidden Acres, surrounded by the beauty of the land during the season of late summer. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this time of year is associated with the Earth Element and the Stomach and Spleen meridians, which are connected to grounding, nourishment, emotional digestion, self-worth and the ability to receive support. We’ll begin outdoors, connecting with the earth beneath our feet through gentle grounding practices, breathwork and elements of the “Big Six” energy routine. Together we’ll take time to arrive fully, awaken the body’s natural energy systems and cultivate a sense of stability and ease before moving into our Yin practice. The Yin sequence will focus on shapes traditionally associated with the Stomach and Spleen meridian pathways, encouraging release, spaciousness and deep rest. Throughout the morning we’ll explore themes of rooting, receiving and recognising the abundance that already exists within and around us. Over the course of our two hours together, you’ll be invited to slow down, soften and reconnect to yourself, to the season and to the steady support of the earth beneath you. Suitable for all levels. Our morning will conclude with nourishing refreshments and quiet connection, allowing you time to settle, integrate, and receive all that the practice has offered. 'Notice the abundance around you, the growth, the colour, the life. Nature doesn’t rush to prove its worth. It simply grows according to its nature. This morning is an opportunity to offer yourself the same permission.' Michelle x
