For this class all you need is your mat and a small bottle of water. 

 

If you have a block or a strap bring it, if not, don’t worry, we have the props for you.

 

What to expect?  

 

I will always start our class with a little grounding, just checking in with ourselves, before we start our slow warm up, then we move into our main flow, and finally settling into a Blissful Savasana.

 

One of the main benefits of Yoga is the ability to calm the mind, and we could all do with some of that, where we focus on our wellbeing and self-care, by being kind and accommodating to our bodies, mind, and emotions – whatever shape, size, age or stage, this class will give you the groundwork for self-love, self-acceptance and non-judgement.

Let you be YOU with the help of modification and encouragement to pare things back, or maybe go further, so you can scale or tailor your practice for you. It’s very much your experience on the mat and very much your practice, as no one knows your body better than you.

 

A movement and mindset practice that focuses on NOT the fancy pose, but rather on helping you deconstruct yoga to make it practicable and relatable to everyday life, so that you can apply what you learn on the mat- off the mat.

 

These weekly classes will be creative yet grounded, with safe movement that help in improving your posture and overall mental and physical wellbeing, while having a little fun along the way.

 

We will work with using props to allow more space in our bodies. We will work with our breath, we will work on building strength, improve flexibility even improve our range of motion. All very do-able! 

 

This class is suitable for complete beginners or for those who want to refresh their practice.  A great class to start your weekend.

Nourishing Yin

Yin is a restorative and deeply calming style of yoga.

 

Yin offers a sense of relief and release to the mind & body alike. Yin helps to soothe and calm the nervous system and prepares the mind & body for stillness and insight. Yin aims to increase flexibility and bring in space to areas of the body such as, the lower back, hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders. Throughout the class, we will focus on easy postures, the use of comforting yoga props and relaxing breathing.
 

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Covid, it is advised that you bring your own blanket and ideally a pillow too, to ensure you maximise your soothing Yin experience!

My attention is on you and your needs! There are no other students in a Private Yoga Class so we can focus on you 100%.

 

I understand that group classes aren’t for everyone and a private setting might be where you thrive.

 

This is especially helpful if you are just starting out on your Yoga journey or for anyone coming back from an injury, and those who might be concerned about safety.

 

Prescribed Therapeutic Yoga for YOUR body alone, Private Sessions can be an ideal way to introduce you also to dive into the beautiful layers of Yin Yoga, and gain initial experience in a safe environment.

Alternatively, if you want to deepen your practice, having some dedicated one to-one attention can help to broaden your learning.

 

Yoga for the Stages of Perimenopause and Menopause.

Experience Yin Yoga through the Yin Room

 

In this Yin class prepare to thoroughly deeply and blissfully unwind the mind and body, discover the benefit of using all of your props from bolster cushions, blocks and straps, Yin Yoga is a complimentary balancing practice that allows us to stimulate and exercise the Yin aspects of our physical, energetic and psychological bodies.

When we practice Yin yoga, on a physical level we’re trying to access the deeper tissues of the body, and many Yin yoga poses focus on areas like the hips, sacrum, and spine. Be sure to let me know about any recent injuries so that I can offer you some modifications.

Sunday October 15th 2023: 'Self Care Mini Retreat for Women'

Perimenopause - Menopause 

This two hour Workshop especially designed for women approaching the menopause or in the perimenopausal stage , we utilise different postures to stimulate the endocrine system and relax the nervous system to alleviate the troublesome symptoms of the menopause or help prepare the body for this phase of life.

September 10th ' Let go and Go Y-in'

2 Hour Yin Workshop - Followed by Yoga Nidra - Autumn is a time for balancing, a time to see everything as a part of the big picture. The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder. This is a time for rest, renewal and sleep. This is a time to turn the attention inwards, listening to the inner teacher of your heart, to your Y-intuition.

  • When: Sunday 10th September 

  • Time: 10.15am to 12.15pm

(Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation, a method of Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses) that allows you to scan the body and tap into a state of relaxed consciousness as the mind settles in a place between wakefulness and sleep.)

There is no better act of self-care than dedicating some time just for you….to move and breathe with intention, to reflect, connect better with yourself and simply just be.

There is free car parking also right outside so all very convenient all you need to bring is you!

Yoga for Teens

These classes use a mixture of gentle yoga, breath work, meditation, and intension setting to create a practice that is heart-centred, nourishing, and deeply relaxing. 

 

The aim is to create a safe space for young people to develop tools that may help them cultivate greater resilience, manage/overcome stress and anxiety, and find a place of deeper calm within themselves.

 

Yoga can empower teenagers by giving them the tools to regulate their emotions, focus, connect with themselves and others, deal with feelings of anxiety and improve sleep patterns. 

 

My teen yoga classes are fun, challenging and provide a safe space for your teenager to connect with themselves and others and have valuable time away from their phones. 

 

They will also have time to relax and reflect and now, more than ever, young people need this in their lives.

 

If you wish to host the Yoga for Teens classes on site, in your school, there is currently availability on Wednesdays and Fridays.
