Candlelit Slow Flow & Deep Rest: A Yoga Journey for Spinal Wellness I’m excited to bring this special candlelit workshop to Lemon Tree Studio – an evening designed to help you unwind, reset, and take care of your body, especially focusing on your spine. This Candlelit Slow Flow will guide you through a gentle, accessible yoga practice specifically tailored for spinal health. Whether you’re dealing with lower back discomfort, tension in the upper back, or general stiffness in your spine, this session will provide relief and help improve mobility. Our slow, flowing movements are perfect for releasing tension around the spine while gently strengthening the muscles that support it. We’ll explore a combination of slow flow movements and then become more Yin, encouraging deeper stretches and a mindful connection with your breath to ease areas of tightness. This practice is about cultivating a sense of balance in your body – bringing more range of motion to your spine, hips, and shoulders in a safe and nurturing way. No prior yoga experience is necessary, making this class suitable for anyone looking to care for their back or simply enjoy a calming, cosy evening of yoga. To enhance the relaxation experience, the studio will be softly lit by candlelight, creating a warm and serene atmosphere that invites you to fully let go. We’ll finish with Yoga Nidra – a deeply restorative guided meditation, often called “yogic sleep,” that helps to calm your nervous system and invite profound rest. Yoga Nidra is especially beneficial for reducing stress, improving sleep, and allowing your body to deeply relax and heal. It’s said that just 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra can feel as restorative as several hours of sleep, making it the perfect way to end the evening. If you’ve been dealing with back issues or are looking for a gentle yet impactful yoga practice, this workshop is for you.
